Use cases and scenarios

• Routine maintenance: swap in the orange clip link when a link shows wear, extending the life of your EK 520 QX-Ring chain.
• On-the-go field service: carry a single replacement link for quick fixes during long rides or races.
• Color-coded maintenance: use orange clip links to differentiate segments or maintenance cycles for easy identification.

Installation and care tips

Install with standard chain tools and follow your chain manufacturer’s guidance for master-link installation. After fitting, rotate the chain to ensure smooth movement and the clip sits securely in place. Lubricate the chain after installation and perform a quick visual check before riding again to confirm the clip is properly seated.
